The Fog

The fog it rolls in slowly
You don't see it when it arrives
Until it steals your breath surrounds your body
Threatening our lives

It suffocates your every word
And threatens to reduce you
To a shell of insignificance
That doesn't even care

But that's not you
You live in the sunshine
You breathe the fire of the ages
That burns away the fog

Yeah that's not you
You live in the sunshine
You breathe the fire of the ages
That decimates the fog

It seems temporary
When the fog first blocks the day
Visibility is not affected
So the masses say

Just slow down enough until you
Almost can see clearly
And forever fight the craving
To see more, to see more

But that's not you
You live in the sunshine
You breathe the fire of the ages
That burns away the fog

Yeah that's not you
You live in the sunshine
You breathe the fire of the ages
That decimates the fog
